Javier Mitre Bethancourt is a lawyer and consultant specializing in Tax Law and the prevention of tax fraud offenses, as well as Corporate and Commercial Law. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law and Political Science from the University of Panama, a Master’s degree in Administrative Law, and postgraduate studies in Taxation, Comptrollership, Accounting, Higher Education Teaching, and Compliance.

He has received international training in Tax Criminal Law and International Taxation at universities and institutions in Argentina, the Netherlands, Spain, and the United States, including the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), Universidad Austral (Argentina), Leiden University, the Institute of Fiscal Studies in Madrid, with an internship at the Barcelona Tax Agency in Spain, and George Washington University/ADEN in Compliance. He is a founding member of IFA Panama, a member of the National Bar Association, INSPAT, and other professional associations.
